Three Year Goal
To pursue a progressive, coordinated county-wide approach to product development consistent with market demand and to uniquely position Warren County as a preferred business location in the Greater Des Moines Region resulting in the county retaining existing business investments and jobs, stimulating entrepreneurial development and attracting its fair market share of new business investment and jobs in the region.
The goal will be accomplished in partnership with Warren County Economic Development Corporation’s public and private sector partners in the county, the region … and the state.

Our Strategies:
- Serve as the “Warren County business development information clearinghouse” and develop branded tools to effectively market and sell the Warren County “business location product.”
- Develop and implement a continuous product improvement plan to enhance the competitiveness and appeal of the Warren County location product.
- Develop and implement an aggressive business outreach program to establish and maintain a two-way dialogue with Warren County Economic Development Corporation’s most important customers—existing businesses.
- Develop strategic business relationships with regional economic development partners/allies, developers/realtors … and decision-makers that have a “connection” to Warren County.
- Utilize media relations to generate a buzz about Warren County’s business development opportunities.
- Develop and implement an entrepreneurial initiative to grow your own businesses.
- Evaluate what’s working/what’s not working … and be accountable. Monitor and track business development marketing-sales activities including tracking business development prospect leads/referrals, visits and locations/expansions. Based on results, refine the plan to achieve greater effectiveness. Promote and celebrate progress and successes.
- Organize to effectively implement lead a coordinated county-wide economic development strategy.
