Electricity
Warren County is served by the following providers for electric utility service:
MidAmerican Energy
- Serves 713,940 electric utility customers in Iowa, Illinois, and South Dakota with coverage in most of Warren County.
- MidAmerican Energy Company is the largest utility in Iowa and is strategically located in the middle of several major markets in the Midwest.
- Average price per kilowatt hour for industrial service is $0.0406.
- Record summer peak load in MW totals 4,136.
- Generating capacity totals more than 6,000 (MW).
Alliant Energy
- Serves 990,406 electric utility customers in the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois with coverage in Southern Warren County.
- Maximum peak hour demand (MW) totals 5,932 and utility electric sales (thousands of megawatt-hours) total 33,088.
- Thirty-nine percent (39%) of Alliant Energy’s electric utility sales are for industrial use.
- Generation capacity of approximately 5,700 megawatts (MW).
Indianola Municipal Utility
- Currently serves 6,300 electric meters in the City of Indianola.
- Annual sales are 111,280,029 kWhs with an annual peak demand of 31.2MW.
- Standard electric service available for new construction is 120/240, 60 HZ alternating current single phase or 120/208 and 277/480 three phase systems.
Carlisle Municipal Electric Department
- Currently serves approximately 1,400 customers in the City of Carlisle.
- Average monthly peak demand is 3,550 kW with a winter peak demand of 3,224 kW and a summer peak demand of 6,014 kW.
Clarke Electric Cooperative, Inc.
- Covers parts of unincorporated Southern Warren County.
- Not-for profit utility with over 5,000 members.

Warren County is served by the following providers for natural gas utility service:
MidAmerican Energy
- Serves 694,493 natural gas utility customers in the states of Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and South Dakota with coverage in most Warren County communities.
- MidAmerican Energy Company is the largest utility in Iowa and is strategically located in the middle of several major markets in the Midwest.
- Average price per MMBtu for industrial use customers is $8.230.
- The record peak day volumes in MMBtu is 1,143,026.
Alliant Energy
- Serves approximately 420,000 natural gas utility customers in the states of Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota with coverage in Southern Warren County.

Water & Sewer
