Warren County is naturally set for cultural experiences.

Wine Trail
Warren County’s connected wine industry provides residents and tourists grapes full of opportunities for fun and sophistication.  The county is home to three wineries including Summerset Winery, La Vida Loca Winery and Two Saints Winery, 35 vineyards, Make Mine Wine magazine, and the Iowa Wine Festival.

Places & Events

Des Moines Metro Opera
The Des Moines Metro Opera, held in June and July, offers a stage for American-trained and developing artists.  The well-esteemed organization offers an outstanding musical experience for all opera-goers.

National Balloon Classic
This nine day event in late July and early August brings ballooners and tourists from every end of the country to participate in a number of events and many activities for those watching from ground level.

Indianola Bike Night
Developed in 2005 under the direction of four community leaders, the Indianola Bike Night attracts crowds of bikers and other visitors.  The event is held every third Friday evening April through September.  In addition to the many standard and custom motorcycles on display, live music, food and beverages, vendors, exhibits, and a live radio broadcast are a part of each evening.  The event has been quoted in the Des Moines Datebook as “the largest in Iowa.”
