- Top Business in a Small Community (Under 3,000 Population)
- Producer/Manufacturer Business of the Year
- Most Innovative New Product or Service
- New Business of the Year
- Woman-Owned Business of the Year
- Exporter Recognition
- Veteran-Owned Business Recognition
- Business Longevity - Milestone Recognition
- Bringing new dollars to the County (exporting).
- Producing, selling, or providing unique or innovative products/services.
- Operating out of a physical commercial location within Warren County (pays property taxes, mortgage or lease, utilities, etc.).
- A high amount of sales each year (relative to industry type).
- Employing more than two full-time employees, not including the owner(s).
- Operating the business within Warren County for more than three years.
- Contributing to the economy regularly in other ways such as donations, volunteer time, in-kind products or services to charities, events, other businesses, schools, etc.
Finalists for each award category will be announced September 28th. The public will then vote online October 1st-15th to determine the winners, which will be announced at the annual economic development celebration on Thursday, October 25th from 5-7 pm in Great Hall at Simpson College. This county-wide celebration is being held to acknowledge positive developments and activity around Warren County, announce the economic impact awards, celebrate the one year anniversary of Hometown Pride, and to continue the momentum into the future with GroWARRENow 2.0. Please mark your calendars to attend the event and celebrate Warren County’s progress and achievements!
