Governor's Newsroom Updates
 
The Office of the Governor of Iowa is continually updating and releasing information as this situation unfolds. 
 
 
 
IEDA Resource Guide
 
The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) has released a comprehensive guide for businesses and has created two new funding programs to assist Iowa Businesses:
  • Iowa Small Business Relief Fund (Application deadline is Noon on Tuesday, March 31, 2020) 
  • Targeted Small Business Sole Operator Fund

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has put together a small business guidance & loan resource guide for assistance specifically related to small businesses. Types of assistance found in the guide include:

Facebook Grant Opportunity
 
Facebook is offering $100M in cash grants and ad credits for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries. This program will be opening in the coming weeks, so be sure to check back often for updates!
 
 
 
 
FCC Keep Americans Connected Pledge
 
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai recently announced the Keep Americans Connected Initiative. In order to ensure that Americans do not lose their broadband or telephone connectivity as a result of these exceptional circumstances, he specifically asked broadband and telephone service providers, and trade associations, to take the Keep Americans Connected Pledge. So far, over 390 companies and associations have signed the Chairman's pledge to Keep Americans Connected. IWD Resource Guide
 
Iowa Workforce Development has compiled a comprehensive resource guide for employers during this situation. To learn about frequently asked questions regarding employer and employees, unemployment insurance benefits, webinars, and more, please check out the IWD website for a collection of resources.
