Warren County Employers Asked About Their Workforce Needs

Warren County Employers Asked About Their Workforce Needs

The Warren County Economic Development Corporation (WCEDC) is encouraging employers to complete the 2014 Workforce Needs Assessment Survey being conducted by the Iowa Workforce Development (IWD).  This survey is used to help gauge the needs of employers in Warren County specific to workforce vacancies, retirements, expansion or contractions, as well as to determine the benefits offered by employers to their employees.

IWD has sent letters to businesses in Warren County area that have reported an employment of five or more employees.  The Iowa Association of Business & Industry, of which WCEDC is a member, assisted in the design of the survey format.

Once an adequate number responses are gathered, the results of the survey will be released, in aggregate, on a statewide and regional level.   Higher response rates helps provide more accurate information.  The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Iowa Workforce Development is an important partner to WCEDC in the effort to help businesses grow, identify talent, and help match Warren County citizens with career opportunities available in the local area.
