Created by Dustin Strawn, head brewer at Court Avenue Restaurant and Brewing Company in Des Moines, Norwalk's Super Gold Ale is infused with grapefruit and lemon zests, giving it a unique flavor profile.

Exciting news for beer enthusiasts in Norwalk - the Super Gold Ale will soon be available on tap at both of Norwalk's upcoming hotels. However, if you can't wait, head over to the Court Avenue restaurant where there are still a few kegs of this special brew available.
What sets this beer apart is its dedication to honoring Norwalk's hometown heroes. Hollie Zajicek, Norwalk Economic Development Director, shares that the label of the Super Gold Ale features actors Jason Mamoa and Brandon Routh. Both Mamoa and Routh grew up in Norwalk and portrayed superheroes in their films. Working closely with Mamoa's and Routh's families, Zajicek collaborated to taste and select the final flavor options for the beer. She hopes that other bars and restaurants in the area will also choose to serve this commemorative brew.

The label of Norwalk's Super Gold Ale was thoughtfully designed by Lucinda Sperry, a Norwalk resident and former executive director of the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. Now working in marketing and business development for the Warren County Economic Development Corporation, Sperry aimed to create a label that captured the heroic spirit of some of Norwalk's most famous individuals, including the city's military standouts. She expressed excitement about highlighting Norwalk's local talent and achievements, stating, "We're certainly proud of all of our superheroes."

This exciting new addition to Norwalk's craft brewery scene aligns perfectly with the goals of the Warren County Economic Development Corporation (WCEDC). By showcasing the personality of each community, Lucinda Sperry, representing the WCEDC, hopes to encourage tourism and promote the unique attractions and offerings of Norwalk and its neighboring areas.
