Calling all small business owners in Warren County! The Warren County Small Business Grant Contest Application is now OPEN and ready for your submissions. This is your chance to showcase your entrepreneurial spirit and win big!
Warren County Economic Development Corp. (WCEDC) organizes this annual Small Business Grant Contest as part of our commitment to helping small businesses grow in Warren County. Grants will be awarded to the top three businesses in two categories - Existing Business and Start-Up Business.
Here’s how it works:
Small businesses fill out an application in one of the two categories that explains how they plan to utilize the grant funds to level up their business.
Applications are scored on several criteria (Business Description and Mission, Products and Services, Market Potential and Competition, Marketing and Sales, Operations and Management, Financials, How Grant Funds Will Be Used, Overall Economic Impact Potential)
The top three applicants in each category will be invited to a Pitch Off Event on Tuesday, October 3 at Skyview Event Center in Indianola to present their idea to a panel of judges. 4. Each contestant will be scored and awarded a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place prize.
With a total of $19,000 in prizes up for grabs, don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to secure your piece of the pie. Existing businesses will compete for 1st Place $6,000, 2nd Place $3,000 and 3rd Place $1,500. Start-Up Business prizes are 1st Place $5,000, 2nd Place $2,500 and 3rd Place $1,000. Time is of the essence, as the application deadline is rapidly approaching. Make sure to submit your application by August 31, 2023, midnight.
